New Product of NICHIA Upgrades Again

2021-10-19 11:49:16

On October 6, NICHIA unveiled the high high output UVC LED NC4S334BR, further demonstrating its commitment to UVC LED technology.

The new high output UVC LED NC4U334BR is 6.8*6.8mm and still uses 280nm band to maximize virus capability and maintain practical reliability. At the same time, it can generate 200mW radiation flux at 7.8W input power. Significantly increases the available virus killing power without sacrificing service life. It is one of the highest output UVC LED in the industry.

According to the official information, NC4U334BR’s high output can bring greater possibilities for industrial water treatment and air purification. Previously, the available radiation flux in a given space was limited, and because of the industrial scale traditionally associated with mercury lamps, the instantaneous on/off operation capability of LEDs significantly reduced standby power compared to the time required for mercury lamps to reach full power.

On Sept. 21, NICHIA also issues using high radiation flux 280nm NCSU434B UVC LED, has the highest power conversion efficient 3.5*3.5mm LED. In the typical input power under the condition of 350mA/5.7V, the typical radiation flux is 62mW. In addition, in high density installation, the radiation flux per unit area is about three times that of traditional products. At present, mass production has begun for a variety of bacterial and viral applications, particularly for industrial water and air applications.

UVC LED is one of the most popular sterilization methods, which is expected to completely change the effect of sterilization and disinfection, and may bring more safe sterilization facilities. This is a common understanding in the industry, and it is also an important transition road for UV disinfection from the current mercury lamp to UV LED disinfection in the future.

The last high output UVC LED NC4U334BR is designed to meet the market demand for industrial water treatment and air purification to a certain extent. Importantly, this small but efficient UVC LED can provide high radiation flux, high power. Compared to previous technology, the solution provides better system miniaturization and highly stable long-life performance.

NICHIA is committed to continue to focus on the development of deep ultraviolet LEDs with higher performance and reliability, and to help achieve a mercury-free and carbon-free society through energy conservation.
