1.Definition of UV glue

UV glue, as known as UV curable adhesive, shadowless adhesive, UV light curable adhesive, is a single component, low viscosity, high strength acrylate adhesive. It has the characteristics of long storage period, no solvent fast curing speed, good transparency and good heat and chemical resistance.

UV curable adhesive is a kind of adhesive that must be irradiated by ultraviolet light curing systems to be cured. It can be dried in a few seconds under ultraviolet radiation of a certain wavelength. Part of the UV glue in order to make up for part of the lack of UV curable adhesive, the use of dual curing mode : UV anaerobic double curing (6020 UV curable adhesive) and UV moisture double curing (6110, 6110DM UV curable silicone). it effectively expands the scope of its application.

UV ultraviolet curing adhesive solidifying rate, final curing depth and surface dry effect and UV light source, light time, material transmittance and other factors. It is recommended to determine the specific curing time by test.


2.Characteristics of UV Curing Glue

- the disadvantage is that the adhesive must be transparent, needs LED UV curing machine to cure


3.The composition of UV glue

UV curable glue is made up of liquid oligomer (also known prepolymer) based on the addition of specific active diluent monomer (also known as active diluent), photo-initiator and other additives. Photo-initiator is one of the main components of any UV curing system, which plays a decisive role in the curing rate of UV system.

4.The principle of UV glue

Ultraviolet (UV) is invisible to the naked eye, is a segment of electromagnetic radiation outside visible light, wavelength in the range of 110-400nm. The curing principle of UV glue is that the photo -initiator (or photosensitizer) in the curing material absorbs the UV light under the irradiation of ultraviolet light and produces active free radicals or cations, which initiates the chain polymerization and cross-linking chemical reaction between the prepolymer and active thinner, so that the adhesive is transformed from liquid to solid in a few seconds. Professional UV curing equipment is recommended.


5.Application of UV glue

Circuit board protection adhesive, lead solder joint protection, component fixation, casting film, forming, transfer printing, camera module, component bonding, plastic, glass, metal stick to each other, etc.
